Vintage Halloween WITCH CANDY CONTAINER stamped Germany with a tag marked HC CAPWELL and remnants of another that would have had the Original Price. The Original CAPWELL'S Department Store opened in Oakland California in 1889 and was rebuilt in 1912 and again in 1929. This one has a mix of Painted Paper and Cardboard on spring legs. The best part is watching her sway back and forth on her springy legs! She is wearing a material outfit and has what we believe to be a bisque or composition head and pipe cleaner arms with what we believe is her Original Broom. It measures approx. 8 1/2" tall and is in very good displayable condition with expected wear and a hat that has some damage and was repaired as shown. $999.95

Vintage Halloween Decoration stamped Germany with a tag marked HC CAPWELL and remnants of another that would have had the Original price tag. The Original CAPWELL'S Department Store opened in Oakland California in 1889 and was rebuilt in 1912 and again in 1929. This one is a Painted Paper or Paper-Mache and Cardboard with spring eyes. The colar is felt. It is put together like a CANDY CONTAINER but does not open so possibly just meant to display. There is a little something rattling around inside though it is not heavy so it is not candy. It measures approx. 8 1/4" tall to the top of the stemand is in very good displayable condition with expected wear as shown. It looks as if it was meant to look like fruit.
